A burst of nostalgia reserved for you and me (as gay as that sounds).

As a sidenote, watching the intro of this song with the angryface visualization is fucking hilarious.

Simple, honest trance track with a decent melody. However, it lacks variation and I lost interest shortly after the break. The melody elements seem to be fighting for attention inside my head.

My Own Blood On My Own Fists

"Excellent."

date: July 31, 2007

I love this one so much. The hammer percussion is so INCREDIBLY crisp and slick, especially in the beginning, and the bells & sine intro feels like floating asleep through space.

The incredibly brutal, inticrate beat is extremely well executed, if a bit on the repetitive side.

Still one of my fav songs of yours. The unique "stumbling" bass and fast rhythm makes you feel like you're running, like you're headed somewhere - well fitting with the lyrics of the short vocal part at the end, which I think you implemented extremely well. The break with the finely textured pads is just.. ahhh. :D

-Skyscraper- (techrock 3)

"jarlsberg"

date: August 19, 2006

This time it sounds like the soundtrack to some kind of sidescrolling Sega shoot'em up, like Gunstar Heroes maybe. :3

You should make your rythm guitars in slayer sound darker and chuggier, but then it might take away from the awesome, cheesy sound image. The arping is very good.

-MrMaestro- (ST) Menu

"Professional."

date: July 15, 2006

Once again you surprise me by making something which sounds like it could be straight from a professional production. If i ever make an FPS this is gonna be in the menu for sure. Heck, i'm part of a mod right now which could use menu music, too bad its for an RTS. I havent got much time to write more reviews now, i'll look at your other songs some other time.

More exposure is needed for your great music man, 5'ing everything.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you say this sounds like a professional production because this is one of the songs I use to try to a get jobs :). I'll probably upload the entire piece sometime in the near future, it gets a lot more driving and epic sounding.

Thanks for the support and reviews!

I can't believe that nobody has used this for their flash yet. Damn. It's so extremely well made, sounds like something out of a hollywood soundtrack. It's a bit cheesy but that doesn't matter when it's this well put together, it almost adds to the greatness. The piano is just awesome. Incredible. Keep up the awesome work mate. :D

Dawn of the Sunset

"Greatness!"

submission: Dawn of the Sunset
date: July 15, 2006

Woah. This has got to have been zero bombed, cause i can't believe such a great and popular song has so low scores in the first place.

The intro is great, the orchestral sample you used is nice and you surprised me with the melody. The hard bass that pans around is fat and quite fitting. Actually your song reminds me of several videogames, the brass parts are reminiscent of some medieval RPG and some parts actually remind me of starcraft's Terran music. Overall the song has this almost latin feel to it.

All in all a well put together and polished song that definitively deserves more exposure, 5'd! :D

Author's Response:

Thanks for the support bud!

The sound quality is this piece is pretty trashy, I used an old keyboard and an old music editing program. I should really redo this piece.

Yea it was at the top of the Trance for a month or so, and then it just got hit by a few zeros. Most of my stuff has been hit by a lot of zero voters, but then again, who hasn't had been bombed with zeroes?

Again, thanks for the support. It means a lot comming from a great artist like you!

Haha, very true to the original song again. Funny to hear just because of that, but a nice tune in its own right. Nice, slapping on a five. Keep it up.

Author's Response:

Thank you, I will keep it up.
