"Sweet"

date: February 4, 2008

Pretty clean acid house-ish stuff. You have a solid beat there, with good flow and samples. Just work on your progression. :D

I would definitively love this if you polished it up a bit and added more variation and fluff. The style is solid.

"Nice."

date: January 11, 2008

Ah, yes. So wonderfully ominous. The middle was very climatic - in fact, the entire song had a perfect progression. I don't have a single complaint, apart from that it doesn't loop perfectly.

February 17, 2008

Author's Response:

Yeah, looping is always a pain with MP3. With the Newgrounds redesign they improved looping quite a bit, but it still doesn't work perfectly all the time.

Thanks for the review!

The listening experience struck me as dissonant. I did like the intro, though. Interesting sound.

Keep at it. :D

This is definitively one of the most refreshingly original songs I've ever heard on this miserable site. The beat, vocals, instruments, melody and production all far surpassed my expectations, and just feels completely spot-on. 5'd and fav'd. :D

Author's Response:

thankyou,
production sounds a bit micky mouse to me but what the hell do i know?

Evening Daydream

"Oh god."

submission: Evening Daydream
date: November 6, 2007

This song really sends my mind flying. The slowly galloping brass theme is so incredibly great, really makes me feel weightless. I love you.

Also, you should be celebrated for submitting a 10 minute song to NG and not having it completely ruined by compression. :>

Author's Response:

haha i could have actually submitted it with even better quality, as i found out later. too late now :( weightless eh :)

"Full of energy."

submission: -Glorious morning-

Very uplifting, the jumpy beat works well with the string melody and the small military snare touches are neat. It even loops well, in a strange manner. Great work!

Still one of my fav songs of yours. The unique "stumbling" bass and fast rhythm makes you feel like you're running, like you're headed somewhere - well fitting with the lyrics of the short vocal part at the end, which I think you implemented extremely well. The break with the finely textured pads is just.. ahhh. :D

Author's Response:

:) unique stumbling bass!

thanks dude. btw everyone go to cycerin's audio page. YOU MUST.

-MrMaestro- (ST) Menu

"Professional."

date: July 15, 2006

Once again you surprise me by making something which sounds like it could be straight from a professional production. If i ever make an FPS this is gonna be in the menu for sure. Heck, i'm part of a mod right now which could use menu music, too bad its for an RTS. I havent got much time to write more reviews now, i'll look at your other songs some other time.

More exposure is needed for your great music man, 5'ing everything.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you say this sounds like a professional production because this is one of the songs I use to try to a get jobs :). I'll probably upload the entire piece sometime in the near future, it gets a lot more driving and epic sounding.

Thanks for the support and reviews!

Dawn of the Sunset

"Greatness!"

submission: Dawn of the Sunset
date: July 15, 2006

Woah. This has got to have been zero bombed, cause i can't believe such a great and popular song has so low scores in the first place.

The intro is great, the orchestral sample you used is nice and you surprised me with the melody. The hard bass that pans around is fat and quite fitting. Actually your song reminds me of several videogames, the brass parts are reminiscent of some medieval RPG and some parts actually remind me of starcraft's Terran music. Overall the song has this almost latin feel to it.

All in all a well put together and polished song that definitively deserves more exposure, 5'd! :D

Author's Response:

Thanks for the support bud!

The sound quality is this piece is pretty trashy, I used an old keyboard and an old music editing program. I should really redo this piece.

Yea it was at the top of the Trance for a month or so, and then it just got hit by a few zeros. Most of my stuff has been hit by a lot of zero voters, but then again, who hasn't had been bombed with zeroes?

Again, thanks for the support. It means a lot comming from a great artist like you!
